JOSE MANRIQUE and NATALIA POMBO
January 16th and 17th
We are pleased to announce these two fabulous young dancers
directly from Argentina: Jose & Natalia. We met them during
our tango holiday in Buenos Aires in October and were very
impressed by their elegance, musicality and excellent teaching
skills.
José has been dancing and teaching tango for the past
14 years.
Natalia graduated
as a professional ballet and flamenco dancer when she was 18
years old and has taught in several dance schools
in Buenos Aires.
José and Natalia have been dancing and teaching tango
together since 1997. They were finalist of the World Championship
of Tango in 2008, have performed in some of the bests tango
shows and milongas in Buenos Aires, as well as in many countries
of Latino America and Europe.
Their teaching method concentrates on the technical elements
of the dance through exercises and sequences that help the
students find an organic and comfortable dancing style.
They teach movements and sequences in closed and open embrace,
exploring different uses of the energy and dynamics as tools
that the students can use depending on the place and circumstance,
e.g. social dance, exhibitions, or on the stage.

Jose and Natalia emphasize the importance of feeling comfortable
to be able to enjoy the dance. They will be in the UK
for one
week
